In the midst of the battle against Covid-19, the Venezuelan people are exemplary

The Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, highlighted the conscious action of the Venezuelan people by assuming the leisure time slot, respecting the preventive measures against Covid-19.
“I took this idea from Spain, today I was seeing the images of Spain and people spilled out onto the streets, without masks; unlike Venezuela, where everyone was very cautious with their masks and even gloves (…) the mask must be weared for a long time, and if possible, glasses and gloves (…) the more protection we keep the better it will be for health”, said the President.
The Bolivarian Government established a time slot so that the country’s children and youth could go outside, this Sunday, April 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the company of a representative. This is a regulation that will give strength and energy to resist the battle of the quarantine until a relative and guarded normality can be reached, said President Maduro, at the same time that he referred that the government team is designing what the new life will be like in the middle of the pandemic. “In the midst of a quarantine battle, the Venezuelan people are exemplary and have given a demonstration of conscience. We will overcome this pandemic”, said the President, during a meeting with the Presidential Commission for the Prevention, Attention and Control of Covid-19 held at the Miraflores Palace. Venezuela has been in social quarantine since March 17 and currently registers 325 positive cases of COVID-19, of which 137 have recovered, which is equivalent to 42.2 percent of patients.
