Today, April 19, 2020, we, the social movements, academic groups, unions, peasants, artists, left-wing political organizations, progressive media, women’s organizations, student movements, and friends of Venezuela, and who in this country stand up in the face of injustice, again we speak out in defense of the Venezuelan people, denounce the permanent aggression of which it is a victim at the hands of the most dangerous empire of humanity, and we reiterate our unrestricted support for the Bolivarian people and government. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, and in a historical situation that requires international cooperation and solidarity, the Donald Trump government seeks to divert attention from its mismanagement of said pandemic, and has intensified its aggressions against Venezuela, using false accusations of drug trafficking and terrorism against high Venezuelan officials, having also undertaken a series of military operations in the Caribbean Sea, a very short distance from the coasts of Venezuela. Far from stopping, the White House intends to take advantage of the global situation to consummate one of the worst genocides in history against a peaceful people that does not constitute a threat to the world. In light of the foregoing, we reiterate unrestricted support for the Bolivarian people and Government, and declare: The rejection to interference and systematic threats of invasion, destabilization and possible war against the Venezuelan people and territory by the US government and its international allies, in open violation of International Law. That today’s priority in different regions and in the world is to find a way to overcome the social and economic crisis generated by the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, leaving aside any interest in obtaining geopolitical advantages. The support to the brother people and the Bolivarian Government, and we reiterate our support for the sovereignty and self-determination of Venezuela, as well as expressing from the land where the 10 principles of Bandung were born that to encourage violence and war as a way to solve the problems of a sovereign country, it is a biased, unfair and useless vision. Finally, we stand in solidarity and congratulate the people and Government of Venezuela for demonstrating, once again, their strength and dignity, an example of courage and justice in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Venezuela has the unrestricted support of Indonesia, a people that has faced empires, that has expelled powers, that has always been victorious and that, above all, is not afraid of the fight.Long live Indonesia and the Venezuelan people and government!
