Venezuela calls on world rulers to think first about the health of their people

“From Venezuela we say stop the world, gentlemen, think about the peoples, think about health”. This is the reflection that the Venezuelan Head of State and government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, made on Wednesday afternoon, who also argued that debating on the effectiveness of wearing the mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19 would be an unnecessary discussion. “It is a bland, unjustified debate, because without a doubt the mask is a natural protector, it protects us all (…) Why do the rulers of Europe and the United States waste so much time in such bland debates instead of making decisions to protect their people”, questioned the President. Question that arises from recent statements by senior officials on the normalization of activities in Germany. “I cry for the health of Venezuela and the world”, insisted Maduro, stressing that “the bad thing that happens to Germany, happens to Latin America”. The reflective call was made by the National Executive from the Caracas Military Circle when leading a day of disinfection of public spaces within the framework of the Gran Misión Venezuela Bella.
