More than six thousand nationals have been treated at the border with Covid-19 screening

“More than six thousand Venezuelans – who have entered the country again – fleeing from Colombia, from xenophobia, misery, for being evicted from their rooms, from their homes, fleeing from the racism of the Colombian oligarchy, have been received by the people of Bolívar”.
This was reported by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the national disinfection day, after the words of the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, who referred to the treatment studies that are appearing, as well as possibilities of new treatments, for the fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19). Rodríguez added that these six thousand Venezuelans have entered by Táchira alone, while more than a thousand have entered through Zulia state, as well as “compatriots from Brazil are beginning to return, all under the same behavior”, that is, due to the
“discriminatory attacks, attacks by xenophobia that exists in these countries, which respond to a campaign that was fueled in its beginnings by the Venezuelan extremist right and by the governments of the Lima Cartel countries who launched this campaign of aggression against our compatriots”.
Regarding the protocols against Covid-19, Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez recalled that this Tuesday it was decided to incorporate the anti-coagulants into the treatment protocol, in order to “expand the possibilities and see the effectiveness (…) we have not yet reached the point of absolute breaking of the contagion chain, but we can already see that the cases tend to maintain a more focused and less circulatory behavior”. In pursuit of the socialist model She stressed that the nationals are also returning to the homeland because they are in “pursuit of the Bolivarian socialist model, where health care is free, something that in these countries as you know (President Maduro), they have to pay between 60 and 80 dollars for a quick testit while in Venezuela is for free”. The Venezuelan Head of Sstate added that this scenario is incredible in the face of this global pandemic. “That the people have to pay dollars for the test for the Coronavirus, let everyone draw their own conclusions, in Venezuela we go with humility and modesty building a public health system that guarantees, protects and assists our people”. Perfect coordination between public and private In addition, the President highlighted the “perfect coordination between the public health system and the country’s private clinics”, while thanking the shareholders and owners of these private centers for “their human commitment, for their detachment and total cooperation with the public health system”, with what we are “moving forward in the face of the challenge of this pandemic, unity between the public and private”.
