Number of COVID-19 recovered patients rise to 93 in Venezuela

“The number of COVID-19 recovered patients in Venezuela rose to 93, which represents 53.1% of people who have overcome the infection,” informed Sectorial Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism Jorge Rodríguez on behalf of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Coronavirus (COVID-19). At the Miraflores Presidential Palace, in Caracas, he highlighted that no new cases have been reported and the number of COVID-19 cases remains at 175 in Venezuela. “Today, for the first time, the curves intersect. For the first time, we have more recovered patients than infected ones. Today, Holy Saturday, 93 people have recovered,” said Rodríguez. Likewise, he explained that 25 patients remain in hospitals, 21 in Comprehensive Diagnosis Centers (CDIs), 12 in private clinics, 10 have been put in home isolation and 6 in hotels. “Unfortunately, 9 people have dies,” he said. Regarding coronavirus stats in the country, Rodríguez said that “so far, we have done 181,335 tests, more than 100,000 tests per 1 million inhabitants, making us the Latin American country issuing more COVID-19 tests.” Patria system registration About the Patria system registration, he explained that out of the 19,348,591 Venezuelans registered on the system, 18,073,797 people have taken the COVID-19 survey, which has been used by Venezuela health authorities to monitor the pandemic in the country and provide a prompt response. According to the data, out of 139,645 Venezuelans, 134,380 have already received medical visits. Keeping guard up Rodríguez stressed that Venezuela today “is recording victories, but it does not mean the battle is over.
