Venezuela confirmed one new COVID-19 case in the state of Miranda for a total of 166 cases, confirmed Vice President Delcy Rodriguez Tuesday afternoon. Rodríguez explained that a 32-year-old woman from Baruta municipality, Miranda state, was infected by his brother, who tested positive for COVID-19 after a quick diagnosis. President Nicolás Maduro instructed governors and mayors to stick to the 100% hospitalization guideline for COVID-19 cases. “In the situation we are now, we can hospitalize all detected cases and isolate them in hospitals,” he said as he stressed that there are 23,500 beds available in Venezuela to attend to patients.
