Venezuela confirms seven new positive cases of Covid-19
The total number of infections with Coronavirus (Covid-19) amounted to 153, after seven new positive cases were confirmed in the national territory, reported the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
From the Miraflores Palace, located in Caracas, he explained that the recent cases are distributed in the states of Aragua (1), La Guaira (2), Miranda (1), Barinas (1) and Trujillo (2).
“Venezuela’s curve remains flat. We must maintain this effort, which is an advance for all of Venezuela, but we cannot claim victory”, he stressed.
The Dignitary indicated that two deaths were registered due to the infectious disease, the victims of which are men residing in Maracaibo (Zulia) and San Bernardino (Capital District) who presented complications in their clinical symptoms. Thus, the death toll rises to seven since the detection of the first two cases, which occurred on March 13.
The statistics of recovered patients are located at 52. Meanwhile, 31 cases are registered in home isolation, 30 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 20 in public hospitals and 13 in private clinics.
COVID-19 registers 1 million 093 thousand 103 infections in 204 countries, while the recovery rate amounts to 228 thousand 039 patients and the death rate to 58 thousand 729.
