Declaration of the Puebla Group on the deployment of US military forces on Venezuelan maritime borders

The Puebla Group denounces the deployment of US military forces on the maritime borders of the Venezuelan Caribbean, arguing the alleged fight against drug trafficking. The Puebla Group rejects the use of force and the threat actions in violation of International Law and alerts both the Secretary General and the United Nations Security Council to the escalation of tensions in the area at a time when all of our hemisphere should be jointly and severally focused on addressing the human impact of COVID-19 as a top priority.
