President Maduro: next two weeks are key to prevent the proliferation of Covid-19 in Venezuela

“We are in a dangerous stage where there may be a flare-up caused by community infections. This week and the other are going to be the weeks to cut the transmission chains of the Covid-19”, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, from the Miraflores Palace. The ead of State emphasized that if Venezuela had not taken preventive measures for social quarantine and health protection, it would report more than 10,000 cases and a death rate of 300 people. He stressed that the health system will increase the number of personalized screenings this week in order to avoid the spread of the virus. This Monday, March 30, two weeks of the social and preventive quarantine decreed on March 16 by the National Executive. So far there are 135 cases and only 3 deaths. In this sense, President Maduro called on the people to radicalize the social quarantine and stay at home, to stop the pandemic that affects 97 percent of the countries in the world.
