Luhansk’s Trade Union Federation rejects smear campaign against Venezuela

The Trade Union Federation of the Luhansk People’s Republic sent a letter of solidarity to the Venezuelan Embassy in Russia to strongly reject the smear campaign based on lies from the U.S. government against Venezuela’s people and government. Luhansk’s Trade Union Federation assures this campaign represents a new flagrant violation to all the international norms and interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state in order to impose the U.S. imperialist supremacy. The letter reads as follows: Dear Comrades! The Trade Union Federation of the Luhansk People’s Republic has been carefully following the events in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in recent years. Likewise, we have been following the relentless attempts of the Unites States of America to stage a coup d’etat against legitimate, democratically elected President Nicolás Maduro. These attempts become even more cynical and insolent if we take into account that the entire world is now facing the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Venezuelan people need  a stable governance more than ever. The Trade Union Federation of the Luhansk People’s Republic cannot stand aside in times when these attacks are being carried out against the legitimate government of a sovereign state and the Venezuelan people. We strongly reject this smear campaign based on lies against the people and government of Venezuela. This campaign represents a new flagrant violation to all the international norms and interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state in order to impose the U.S. imperialist supremacy.  Once again, the U.S. has shown its true nature by employing methods that are only used by a group of bandits acting outside the law. The workers of the Luhansk People’s Republic express their solidarity with the workers and the heroic people of Venezuela who have the right to decide their fate and authorities. The imperialist insolent interference must cease. Hands off Venezuela! Long live the People of Venezuela! President of the Trade Union Federation of the Luhansk People’s Republic O.K. Akimov
