President Maduro reiterates call to responsibly prevent the Covid-19
The Head of State and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, made a new call to conscience to reinforce the measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
“If we want to face the pandemic and cut all transmission chains, we must strengthen the social and collective quarantine”, said the President.
Venezuela is on the list of Latin American countries that has managed to maintain a flat propagation curve for Covid-19, however, it does not mean that the virus has been fully combated.
“We are making a great effort, a great sacrifice, we are advancing in the methodology, but nobody can claim victory yet, we must reinforce the protection measures”, emphasized Maduro.
He took as an example the situation experienced by European countries and the USA. by not activating preventive measures from day zero, which has produced a large number of infections and thousands of deaths.
He also reported that by the hour, 37 minutes after 6 in the afternoon on this Saturday, there are more than 660,000 cases of Covid-19 infection in the world, 30,600 deaths and 141,400 people recovered.
