Head of State highlights importance of personalized screening before Covid-19
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized this Saturday the importance of continuing to advance with the personalized expanded screening methodology, which the Bolivarian Government has put into practice in order to combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
When establishing a telephone contact with “La Hojilla” program, which is broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Head of State reported having shared these contributions against the virus with his Nicaraguan counterpart, Daniel Ortega.
“I was saying to Commander Daniel Ortega, with whom I spoke (ten minutes ago), that only our countries with an organized Popular and social Power, with a real conscience, can face situations as abrupt, as adverse, as those we are facing”.
In addition, the Venezuelan dignitary revealed that, in the expanded and personalized screening system to combat the Coronavirus, “the number of 19 thousand 704 doctors, nurses, heads and street chiefs of the UBCH, the Clap and militiamen of the Popular Units of Integral Defense in the Quadrants of Peace”.
Care for people with pre-existing diseases
Likewise, President Maduro referred to those people who register a disease; reason why he extended a call to the Presidential Commission activated by the Coronavirus crisis, to strengthen the care for people with pre-existing conditions.
“Now we know where the asthmatic people, the diabetics, the hypertensive, those with heart problems are, so we direct our efforts to let them have their medicines, in the midst of the imperialist blockade against the importation of medicines, in the midst of the terrorist criminal war against the economy and against the country’s supplies, we are achieving success with the support of China, Russia, Cuba, the World Health Organization, in general, beyond the Coronavirus, for the supply of medicine in the country”.
Said the president when exalting the benefits of having the Homeland System (Sistema Patria), through which can be known what disease a Venezuelan may be presenting.
