More than 2,000 people with symptoms of Covid-19 underwent extended screening tests

In order to advance in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Bolivarian Government carried out the expanded and personalized screening test (DAPE) on 2,125 people on Thursday, for presenting the symptoms of this virus, informed the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez. During statements from the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Rodríguez explained that this screening is being carried out through the Patria system survey, and detailed that to this day 14,779,644 people have responded to this instrument, of whom 42,653 Venezuelans will be visited “house by house” for presenting suspicious symptoms. In this sense, she pointed out that 32,623 people were visited during the day, having in this group 2,125 with severe symptoms, and of these, 220 cases were admitted into the Barrio Adentro system. It should be noted that the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, activated this survey, following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), with the aim of effectively combating this pandemic that affects all of humanity.
