Russia to send humanitarian aid to Venezuela to face COVID-19
Venezuela will receive humanitarian technical aid and cooperation from Russia to fight the propagation of COVID-19, said President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on Friday, March 20.
The Venezuelan president explained that this special humanitarian aid includes coronavirus test kits and medical supplies necessary to attend to the Venezuelan population.
“Russia steps forward with support in medical supplies and other provisions. The entire world is supporting Venezuela in this battle we are waging,” said President Maduro during a telephone conversation with the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Likewise, Venezuela will receive a commission of World Health Organization (WHO) experts from Geneva to fight the propagation of coronavirus in the South American country.
The United Nation is rescheduling its agenda and reprogramming its resources to provide support to Venezuela to avoid an increase in the COVID-19 prevalence rate.
Also, Caracas and Beijing have established a permanent airlift to guarantee necessary supplies and equipment to detect COVID-19 in Venezuela.
