Presidential commission focuses efforts to combat spread of Covid-19
Presidential Commission for the Prevention, Attention and Control of Coronavirus (Covid-19) focuses efforts on the search for new measures to combat the spread of the pandemic.
For this, members of the Executive Cabinet, led by the Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, complete a working day at the Presidential Command Post of the Miraflores Palace on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting evaluates progress in the measures implemented by the national government in order to protect the people.
To date, there are 33 positive cases of Covid-19 in the country, in that sense, the Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro, decreed collective and social quarantine in the 23 states of the country as of 5:00 p.m. the morning of this March 16.
Earlier, the sectoral Vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that the people of “Venezuela have respected up to ninety percent of the social and preventive quarantine measure”, announced by the National executive, at the same time that he announced that in the next few hours new mechanisms could be implemented to contain the spread of the virus.
