Members of the solidarity groups in Romania sign a statement in support to the Bolivarian Government
As part of the commemorative activities of the 7th anniversary of the planting of the Eternal Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Chávez Frías, this Wednesday the traditional monthly meeting was held with the members of the solidarity groups of Romania, in the Conference Hall “Francisco de Miranda”, from the city of Bucharest.
The conversation was aimed at informing about the most recent actions directed by the Venezuelan State, including the lawsuit filed against the United States government before the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, due to criminal unilateral coercive measures imposed against the Venezuelan people, and the signing of a Declaration of Solidarity by the Romanian leftist movements in support to the Bolivarian Government.
The event was led by the head of Mission with the rank of Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Romania, Alfredo Alfonso Torrealba, who stressed that the US measures are part of a systematic and widespread attack against the Venezuelan population.
These facts were presented by the Venezuelan State before the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on February 13, for the purpose of investigating those crimes against humanity. “Venezuela expects that international law, the validity of multilateral institutions, as well as the dignity of the Venezuelan people be respected”, said the diplomat.
For their part, the representatives of the solidarity groups, including members of the Socialist Party of Romania, the Communist Party of Romania, the Friendship Group Venezuela-Romania and the Friendship Group with Cuba, among others, expressed words in support of the government of Nicolás Maduro Moros and against the imperialist model that seeks to impose the American empire throughout the world.
