The Sectorial Director of Projects of the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela (The System), Lorena Lugo, visited the Tunisian Republic from February 3 to 7, invited by the Tunis Opera House to publicize this Successful initiative that has been replicated in 75 countries, through more than 180 similar projects. The visit was also conducive to presenting the concert of Alexis Cárdenas, an important Venezuelan violinist who grew up and developed in The System and that last Wednesday, February 5, made an extraordinary presentation at the Opera House, delighting the Tunisian public with a repertoire of Latin American music and, in the second part, performing with the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra the Venezuelan piece “Fuga con pajarillo”.

The Sectorial Director of Projects of The System returned to Venezuela with the commitment to continue working for a fruitful cooperation with the organizations she met, which would mean a twinning between Tunisia and Venezuela, from one of the most beautiful projects promoted for the Bolivarian Revolution: human development and social inclusion through music.
