In the TV show La Voz de Chávez they discuss on the Culture of Peace promoted by the Eternal Commander
“Our Eternal Commander used to say that our enemies should not be confused: calling for peace, working for peace, does not mean submission; It does not mean that we are giving up, that we are afraid”, said Professor Adam Chavez Frias, host of the TV show La Voz de Chávez, broadcasted by Venezolana de Television (VTV) every week.
On February 2 and 3, the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Cuba (Adam Chavez) had the company of Silvio Platero, president of the Cuban Movement for Peace and Sovereignty of the Peoples, who was invited to reflect on the culture of peace within the legacy of Commander Hugo Chavez.
In the television space, which pays tribute to the historical leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Adam Chávez said that “one of the most striking examples of Commander Chavez’s dedication to dialogue and peace is precisely the huge effort he made to ensure that the peace process in Colombia be materialized after 50 years of war”.
For his part, Platero recalled that when the United States government opened seven military bases in Colombia, Chávez said he would open, in response, 70 Peace Bases in Venezuela, which would be multiplied everywhere Venezuelans were present.
In addition, in relation to the transcendence of the thoughts of Commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, he pointed out that “when facing the provocations of the American empire, along with the thinking of Ernesto Che Guevara, they show that the struggle to consolidate peace is important at all costs and that these provocations must be answered with a culture of developed peace and firm principles”.
