From Celac Venezuela and Belize strengthen ties of cooperation and brotherhood

In the framework of the meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), which took place in Mexico, the Vice-minister for Latin America of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Rander Peña, in the company of the Vice-minister for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi held a meeting with Belize Chancellor Wilfred Elrington. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1989, Venezuela and Belize have sought to strengthen their ties of cooperation and brotherhood. Last September, on the occasion of the 74th Session of the United Nations Organization (UN), Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and Vice-minister Rander Peña held a working meeting with Foreign Minister Elrington. Belize is also part of the Petrocaribe Cooperation Agreement since 2005.
