Photographic exhibition opens in the framework of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Vietnam

In the spaces of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, an iconographic exhibition was inaugurated, framed on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Vietnam. This exhibition brings together 18 photographs that show the deepening of diplomatic relations between the two nations in the last 20 years, starting in 1999, with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chavez to the presidency of Venezuela, who brought a progressive vision and a new foreign policy strategy, called South-South cooperation. The premises of South-South cooperation between Venezuela and Vietnam, in addition to manifesting themselves at the opening of the Venezuelan Embassy in Hanoi, in 2006, are specified in the signing of agreements in different areas such as agriculture for rice production in Venezuelan lands, in addition to energy cooperation agreements between the two countries. The Vice-minister for Asia continued to emphasize that Vietnam had 30 years of war and another 30 years in which they resurfaced thanks to their own development model. “Imperialism could not beat Vietnam, nor will it beat Venezuela, nor the countries that do defend their sovereignty”, he said. For his part, Ambassador Dao Thanh Chung, presented a message from the president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyễn Phú Trọng, addressed to the constitutional president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Venezuelan people. “I would like to convey our congratulations to Venezuela and the Venezuelan people for their noble conduct, we take this opportunity to ratify our wishes to continue promoting the relationship of comprehensive cooperation, in order to contribute more efficiently to the peace and development of our countries”. This celebration was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as members of the “Vietnamese Association of Friendship of Venezuela” and the “Cooperative Association of Friendship between Venezuela and Vietnam”. As part of the cultural activities, the “Artistic Choir of Caracas” was presented, which belongs to the Musical Notes Foundation Network, which this time had the voices of 22 musicians who were under the direction of maestro Jaime García. To conclude the inauguration of this photographic exhibition, the Vietnamese ladies presented the hat dance, an artistic expression of Vietnam.
