Sector Vice-president Jorge Rodríguez attends Alberto Fernández’s inauguration in Argentina
The Sector Vice-president of Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, attended on Tuesday the inauguration of the President-elect of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, and Vice-president Cristina Fernández, who took an oath before the Legislative Assembly of this country.
Rodríguez attended the inauguration on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as part of the initiative to restore relations of cooperation between the two peoples, after the separation that took place with the arrival of the neo-liberal Mauricio Macri to the presidency of the South American country.
Alberto Fernández and Cristina Fernández signed the Book of Honor upon arrival at the Blue Room of the Congress of the Argentine Republic, before the acts of presidential inauguration for a new constitutional period of four years.
In the primary elections, the duo known as “Fernández-Fernández”, won almost 50% of the votes, which achieved a difference of almost 16 points to the duo made by Mauricio Macri and the leader of the justicialismo Miguel Ángel Pichetto.
Venezuela and Argentina strengthened bilateral relations of cooperation through alliances between the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, and Néstor Kirchner, elected president of the Argentine nation for the first time in 2003, both for the integrationist impulse in Latin America.
