More than 100 national companies participate in the I Fitven Business Round 2020

The productive and export capacity of Venezuelan companies are exposed again in the I Business Roundtable offered on Thursday by the People’s Power Ministry for Tourism and Foreign Trade, as a prelude to the fourteenth edition of the International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (FitVen) 2019-2020, which will take place in the state of La Guaira. The business meeting that takes place in the coast region is organized by this ministerial portfolio together with the Government of the state of La Guaira, where public and private companies participate in food items, such as cocoa and coffee; services and tourism. Also, authorities of the accredited diplomatic corps in the country are present. In that sense, the Vice-minister of Tourism, Verónica Calcinari, emphasized that this event aims to ensure that Fitven 2019-2020 has national and international private trading, marketing and investment spaces to leverage tourism development and foreign trade.

Calcinari thanked the participation of the embassies of India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, South Africa, Syria, Belarus, China and Cuba, with which they have held work meetings that will allow the materialization of agreements in the coming days. Likewise, the Vice-minister invited the businessmen present to register in the business conference system and to use the benefits that this platform offers to generate business meetings. For his part, Governor Jorge Luis García Carneiro said that this activity is the beginning of a route that will culminate with the completion of the Fitven in the month of May 2020. “This route will begin in the state and will continue in the city of Caracas, where we will be showing our tourist potentials”, added the highest authority of the coastal entity. She stressed that Venezuela is currently moving towards the search for new investors to overcome the oil economic scheme. Similarly, García Carneiro said that La Guaira has been advancing considerably in terms of beautification and security for the enjoyment of those who visit the central coast. “Good things we have and what you will see them in the Business Roundtables. We have available lands with many benefits in front of the sea, mountains, the Macuto cable car with connection to the Warairarepano will soon be operational, we will have the Guaicamacuto hotel. Every day we are promoting the development of the state and the country”, he said.
