President of the TSJ signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Court of Cassation of Turkey
The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, magistrate Maikel Moreno, signed with the president of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Turkey, magistrate İsmail Rüştü Cirit, a Memorandum of Understanding.

This meeting took place in the city of Ankara and is part of the policies promoted by the highest Venezuelan judicial authority to strengthen the ties of inter-institutional cooperation with the judicial powers of different nations.
The president of the TSJ of Venezuela expressed his satisfaction at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which he said will strengthen the friendly relationship between both higher courts and improve legal cooperation between Turkey and Venezuela, which will increase interaction and cooperation in the judicial field and will contribute to further development and strengthening of relations between the peoples of both countries.
At the headquarters of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Turkey, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed, which aims at exchanging knowledge and experience in relation to appeals that are submitted to the judicial activities of the higher courts, the application of comparative law and the administration of justice.
The signed document establishes that cooperation in the legal field will be developed through the exchange of normative legal information, relevant documents, legislation and legal material of interest to the parties; reciprocal visits of judges and judicial personnel, in order to exchange information from the parties regarding the administration of justice; carry out training programs and exchange experiences and the holding of forums, seminars, joint academic activities, videoconferences, meetings of experts and work.
The Memorandum of Understanding will remain in effect for five years and will be automatically extended for five years, except in the event that either party notifies its intention to terminate it, the document states.
Likewise, the president of the Venezuelan highest court toured the headquarters of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Turkey, while Judge İsmail Rüştü Cirit explained everything related to its structure, operation and powers of the court located in the capital of the Republic of Turkey.
