President Maduro: Coup d’etat in Bolivia raises awareness to continue fighting for peace

Before the consummate coup d’etat against Bolivian President Evo Morales, the head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, sent a message to the groups of the Venezuelan extreme right and urged them not to make false political calculations. «To the Venezuelan fascist right I tell you, make no mistake, do not make false calculations. We want dialogue, peace, democracy, but if they cross the line, we will act firmly and totally attached to the Constitution to defend the people’s right to happiness”, said the President. During a telephone contact transmitted by the multistate Telesur, the Venezuelan dignitary affirmed that “the coup d’etat in Bolivia elevates the combative strength and the awareness of what we are defending: the right of the people to live in peace, to be respected, to Don’t be veiled and humiliated again. It is a battle that we will continue to give!” The President also said that the “fascist mafias are assaulting power in Bolivia”, because they do not forgive the indigenous leader for having brought political stability, economic growth and social justice to the Bolivian people. He repudiated the actions of the Organization of American States (OAS) that issued a report on the electoral audit, in which it recommends holding new elections, but without presenting strong evidence of an alleged fraud. “The OAS, which has endorsed all coups in Latin America for 100 years, has stabbed Evo (Morales) in the back and is part of the coup d’etat”, said Maduro. On the other hand, Nicolás Maduro called on democratic governments, patriotic leaders, political, social and cultural movements of Latin America and the world to raise the flags of democracy in defense of Bolivia, while denouncing that the integrity of the Indigenous leader is in danger, due to the fascist onslaught of opposition groups in the southern country.
