Paula Klachko presents in the XV Filven literary works inspired by the struggle of the peoples

As a sign of solidarity and empathy with the Venezuelan people, this Friday at the Casa Amarilla, Antonio José de Sucre, the Argentine sociologist, Paula Klachko, presented the books ‘From above, from below’ and ‘Venezuela hope of humanity’, with reason for the XV International Book Fair of Venezuela (Filven 2019), which takes place in the spaces of the historic center of Caracas. During a conversation, Klachko explained that both books are based on the resistance of popular governments, scenarios and horizons of the change of era in Latin America. In turn, she expressed the importance of understanding the current challenges Venezuela is facing and the insurrection of popular power that has arisen in some countries. She stressed that the current medieval blockade led by the US empire has served to make the Venezuelan people an example of the firm construction of the Bolivarian Revolution amid so many challenges. “Our peoples are enemies of the United States government, because we reject injustice and evil”, she said. The Argentine sociologist said that her inspiration to write ‘Venezuela hope of humanity’, was the constant attacks that the country receives, and how it strengthened its bravery since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez, the main tool that has helped fight the economic war and the sanctions. She said that since the beginning of the post-neoliberal cycle, the process of reformist integration in Latin America was emerging, where Venezuela has maintained one of the longest periods thanks to the social policy it carries out. “This progressive cycle keeps resisting, allowing the people to grow on the struggles and plans to defend their rights, as this country has done, continuing the legacy of Bolívar and Chávez by the hand of President Nicolás Maduro”.
