Head of State: revolutionary forces represent an alternative against neoliberalism
The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, said that the left-wing revolutionary forces represent an alternative against neoliberalism and wild capitalism that tries to oppress the peoples of the world.
“We represent hope and strength in Latin America, the Caribbean and the world … we are building in each country the response to the policies of unfair exclusion and distribution of the wealth that belong to the peoples”, he emphasized.
He pointed out as an example the struggle undertaken by the Chilean people for the defense of their rights, following the rise in costs in the transport system imposed by the administration of Sebastián Piñera, which has unleashed protests in which a change of model is required and the application of a constituent.
“In Chile, a Revolution has been awakened pointing towards the path of social reconstitution”, he said, despite the repressive wave by the Piñera administration that seeks to intimidate the will of the people, who demand the restitution of the social rights of the Chilean people.
“It is a shame that the constitution of a genocidal (Augusto Pinochet) remains being the constitution of the people of Chile (…) in Chile the martyrs have resurrected (…) it is exciting to see their awakening”, added the president.
The statements were offered by the Head of State, during his participation in the closing ceremony of the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy and Against Neoliberalism, held in the city of Havana, Cuba.
