Governments of Venezuela and Russia review agricultural cooperation agreements
In the framework of the 46th Meeting of the FAO Committee on Food Security in Rome, Italy, the People’s Power Minister for Productive Agriculture of the Bolivarian Government, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, held a working meeting with the Vice-minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Levin.
During the meeting, the authorities of both countries reviewed the different conventions and programs in the field of agricultural cooperation.
As a result, it was agreed that the Russian authorities will be invited in the next few days to a technical work visit to Venezuela with the aim of advancing on issues related to phyto and animal health regulations.
The commercial exchange of agricultural items maintained by the two countries was also reviewed and new joint projects were explored in order to continue deepening the bilateral relationship and contribute to the food sovereignty and independence of the Venezuelan people
