During the 42nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Vice-minister for Multilateral Affairs of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Alexander Yánez, met Tuesday with the permanent representative of the Republic of South Africa before UN-Geneva, Nozipho Joyce Mxakato Diseko.
The meeting allowed both diplomats to evaluate different issues on the bilateral agenda and strengthen South-South cooperation relations.
Venezuela and South Africa have signed a series of agreements for the development of strategic areas of both nations, thus strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation through the implementation of new projects that they have jointly developed.
Earlier this year, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza held a meeting in New York with the South African ambassador to the United Nations Organization, Jerry Matjila, on a visit by the Venezuelan diplomat to the multilateral agency.
