Venezuela and China hold bilateral meeting at the UN-Geneva
With the shared vision of strengthening the excellent diplomatic relations maintained by the governments of both nations; The Vice-minister for Multilateral Issues of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Alexander Yánez, met on Tuesday with the permanent representative of China to the UN-Geneva, Chen Xu, in the framework of the 42nd Session of the Human Rights Council of this organization.
In the fraternal meeting, the diplomats shared impressions about the agenda addressed in the session and the relations of friendship and cooperation that build the pair of countries.
The governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement, which covers the areas of science and technology, oil, mining, economy, education, sport, safety and health.
During a recent interview with the Chinese agency Xinhua, President Nicolás Maduro stressed that the Asian giant and the South American country share the same vision of development, based on the conception of a multipolar and multicenter world, which has allowed us to strengthen ties in favor of both peoples for 45 years. He stressed that both nations are examples of good diplomatic relations.
The 42nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council will run until September 14, in Geneva, Switzerland, with an agenda of human rights issues that requires the attention of the multilateral agency throughout the year.
