War Threat will be countered by the National Defense Council
The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported on Monday the installation of the Defense Council to the Nation “to take the civic-military collective leadership, before the guerrilla and criminal threat of the government of Iván Duque.
The measure corresponds to article 323 of the Constitution where it’s established that the National Defense Council is the highest consultation body for the planning and advice of the Public Power in matters related to the integral defense of the country, its sovereignty and the integrity of its geographical space.
The President explained that the Defense Council is designing strategies to counteract the criminal actions directed from Bogotá, and pointed out that the complaint against these criminal actions has already been expanded to the diplomatic body represented in the country, to whom all the evidence of the war escalation was presented
“We have seen the seriousness of the escalation of threats against Venezuela and we are taking all the necessary decisions to protect the national territory”, said the Head of State.
The information was granted during the meeting that took place in the Simón Bolívar Room of the Miraflores Palace.
