Venezuela holds bilateral meetings with Uruguay and Mexico at the UN-Geneva
In the framework of the 42nd Session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), the Vice-minister for Multilateral Affairs of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Alexander Yánez, held meetings Monday with the permanent representatives of Uruguay and Mexico before this instance of the UN, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
With the representative of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Ricardo González Arenas; The Venezuelan Vice-minister exchanged views on the agenda of the Human Rights Council Session and the political realities that both South American nations are going through.
Likewise, in the bilateral meeting with the permanent representative of Mexico to the UN-Geneva, Socorro Flores, they discussed the expectations regarding this 42nd session of the Council and the opening that diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Mexico have had after the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador took office.
The 42nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council will take place between September 9 and 14, in the Geneva office, and the situations and issues related to human rights that require the attention of the multilateral agency will be addressed.
