Vice-minister Yuri Pimentel visits Guinea Conakry to activate areas of bilateral cooperation
On an official visit to the Republic of Guinea Conakry, the Vice-minister for Africa of the Peopple’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yuri Pimentel, in the company of Ambassador Alejandro Correa, held working meetings with high government authorities to review the progress of the framework agreement cooperation and strengthen areas of common interest.
With the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Diakaria Koulibaly, they reviewed the possibilities to develop specific aspects of the framework agreement for cooperation in energy resources. Minister Koulibaly expressed his satisfaction at the visit and provided the areas of interest to formalize the activation of cooperation.
Likewise, the Vice-minister and the Venezuelan Ambassador staged a meeting with the Deputy Director General of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Oury Bah, who expressed his pleasure for the enlightening explanation of Venezuela’s prospects for action in the context of the period of sessions of the United Nations Organization (UN).
Director Bah highlighted the positive impact of the tour of national diplomats in the economic and political aspects, as well as the mutual respect professed by both governments to the principle of equal rights among nations that respect multilateralism.
Vice-minister Pimentel considered that the solidarity between the two countries deserves regular meetings to inform and share the real and potential challenges for the resurgence of a threatening unilateralism that degrades the principles enshrined in the UN Charter.
Another important meeting of the Venezuelan delegation took place with the Cabinet Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guinea Conakry, Ambassador Mohamed Camara, to whom the Vice-minister for Africa reported on the political events that are taking place in Venezuela and highlighted the attachment to the Constitution in the actions of governments and peoples that defend their right to have a country free from foreign interference.
Ambassador Camara expressed his satisfaction for this tour that allows the promotion of cordial and mutually beneficial relations between allies.
