Minister Pedro Infante arrived in Beijing, China, to undertake an intense agenda where, among other topics, he presented a proposed calendar of cooperation and exchange in sports with the General Administration of Sport of China, following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, to Raise the level and preparation of Venezuelan athletes.

Planning, sports training, methodology, sports infrastructure and business management are part of the areas where the nation is working with other countries within the framework of the comprehensive care plan for Olympic athletes.

Infante offered a balance of the meeting he held with the Director of the General Sports Administration of China, GouZhongwen, and the Venezuelan aspirations of this cooperation around “planning, sports training, the topic of sports infrastructure and the sport business management in China”.

Within the framework of this agreement, the Minister said: “We are already thinking, first of all, of an acquisition of sports equipment, second, the issue of textiles for our national teams; third, what has to do with sending a group of professionals to China to train in different areas of knowledge; and fourth, install from January 2020 several preparation bases for Venezuelan athletes who are on the Tokyo 2020 route”.
