Workers of the world sympathize with the Venezuelan people in the face of US aggressions

Solidarity with the people of Venezuela – which is being affected by the economic blockade of the United States – said the special guests of the First International Meeting of Workers, who joined this Saturday to the anti-imperialist march that takes place in the city of Caracas. “You are an example for the people of Mexico. This is a historic moment for the working class because you are an example of dignity”, said María Larraisa, delegate of Mexico. In turn, Artemio Hurtado, also from Mexico, said the attendance at the international meeting was intended to “ratify that there is an indomitable people, as is the heroic people of Venezuela”. “It hurts us to see the aggression of the empire, but we are proud to hear President Nicolás Maduro when he said that nobody here will give up. Venezuela is made of love and that love goes ahead, for the rescue and reconstruction of the homeland”, he added. For his part, Berlina Hernández, representative of the United States, expressed her support for the people of Venezuela and denounced the persecution of immigrants living on American soil. “The United States is a town of immigrants, including Donald Trump. We know the reality of our people and we know the beast, because we live with it”, she said. During the act, the Chilean worker Antonio Galves, who expressed his hope to free his country from US imperialism, took the floor.
