Venezuelan Ambassador to Lebanon presents Credentials to President Michel Aoun
On the morning of Tuesday, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Lebanon, Jesús Gregorio González González, officially presented his Credentials to the president of this Asian country, General Michel Aoun.
The protocol ceremony took place at the Presidential Summer Palace, in “Beit El Dine”, located in the town of Chouf, where the Venezuelan ambassador attended in the company of the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Pedro Enrique de Curtis Martínez.
During the meeting, President Aoun welcomed the diplomatic representative and wished him success in his management, while agreeing to strengthen relations between the two States, which dates from July 10, 1946, more than 73 years ago.
In April of this year, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, visited the Lebanese Republic and met with his counterpart Gebran Bassil, with whom he evaluated possible bilateral cooperation projects.
On that occasion, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister wrote in his Twitter account @jaarreaza: «Together with @Gebran_Bassil, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon, we analyze the geopolitics of our regions, we review the situation of our countries and the potential cooperation projects between both peoples and governments».
Minister Jorge Arreaza also held a meeting with President Michel Aoun, in Beirut, capital of Lebanon, with the purpose of strengthening historical and cultural ties between the Lebanese Republic and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
