Vice-minister Yuri Pimentel meets with his South African counterpart to strengthen bilateral relations
Following the talks held in Caracas last July, during the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Vice-minister for Africa of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yuri Pimentel, held a meeting on Tuesday with his counterpart of the Republic of South Africa, Alvin Botes.
During the work visit to the African country, the Venezuelan Vice-minister and his South African similar discussed issues related to the cooperation and solidarity relations maintained by the governments of both nations.
Yuri Pimentel also had the opportunity to exchange views on the reality of Venezuela in the face of imperial aggression, with the president of the Committee on International Relations of the South African Parliament, Tandi Mahambehlala.
The constant exchange of high-level visits and meetings between Venezuela and South Africa is a sign of the good bilateral relations maintained by the governments.
Last July, during his visit to Venezuela, Vice-minister Botes developed a busy work schedule with representatives of the Bolivarian Government, with whom he discussed the deepening of bilateral cooperation in mining and agricultural matters, among other areas.
