Venezuela presents an internal development proposal at the Pacific Islands Development Forum
On behalf of the government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Vice-minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Rubén Darío Molina, attended the Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) held in the Republic of Fiji.
“Venezuela, with its Diplomacy of Peace, accompanies the approach of these very worthy peoples who are being struck down by climate change […] We are locating a series of elements here of our diplomacy and opening ourselves to the world”, said the diplomat from the country oceanic.
The Vice-minister referred to the proposal for internal development of Venezuela presented to the Forum and thanked the Republic of Fiji for the welcome.
The Pacific Islands Development Forum is held in the Fijian city of Nadi under the slogan “South-South Cooperation for a Resistant Pacific”.
This Tuesday’s deliberations include discussions and debates that identify sources of financing and new innovative financing mechanisms, aimed at building a safe and climate-resistant Pacific.
