President Maduro receives Nobel Peace Prize 2015 at the Miraflores Palace
The Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received the night of this Thursday at the Miraflores Palace the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Houcine Abassi.
Recently, Abassi affirmed that in order for a dialogue to take place in Venezuela, it must be independent and far from foreign interventions.
The Tunisian exhorted this Wednesday the Venezuelans to promote a dialogue without foreign intervention because in his opinion, the foreign participations “have never yielded results” in those processes.
The leader recalled his experience in the process in which he participated to build democracy in his nation and said that in order to achieve a national dialogue it must be led by independent people, far from the political parties and the existing currents.
Abassi is General Secretary of the General Union of Tunisian Workers and a member of the so-called “Tunisian Quartet” which formed four political organizations to seek a dialogued solution to the political crisis faced by Tunisia in 2013. The group was awarded in 2015 with the Nobel Peace Prize for the management they fulfilled in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict in their country.
