ANC President Diosdado Cabello and his Cuban counterpart reaffirm struggle against the policies of imperialism
The president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) Diosdado Cabello met with his counterpart from the Cuban Parliament Esteban Lazo Hernández. The meeting served to exchange experiences of the work of both legislative palaces and continue to strengthen ties of friendship.
Lazo stressed that both nations will not surrender to the policy of imperialism.
The Cuban parliamentarian said that the meeting was held for the first time in the Capitol, so he invited his counterpart to take a tour in the majestic construction that the Cuban Revolution recovered.
“When Diosdado came we did not have a place to attend him and the headquarters was a little house where we almost did not fit, now I have the honor of receiving him in the Capitol and walk through this wonderful work, the famous work of the 500th anniversary of Havana and receiving him in a sacred place”.
For his part, Cabello highlighted Cuba’s support for Venezuela:
“We are grateful for all the teachings of Cuba, for us, the unity is fundamental (…) The left movements are bound to be united to confront imperialism. Cuba is for us the guide, the winner of a thousand battles, we are sure that united we will defeat imperialism we have no doubt about that”, he said.
