Bolivarian Government guarantees people’s health and implements policies to counteract economic blockade

The Bolivarian Government continues to guarantee the health of the entire Venezuelan population through the strengthening and consolidation of all levels of care and services of the National Public System. Despite the economic blockade that tries to deprive Venezuelan children from their fundamental rights, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Thursday, during a working day in the area of ​​health, which extends to the next June 30, the Vaccination Week of the Americas. He explained that there are 7,124 vaccination posts, 560 integral health areas incorporated and that it has been possible to reach the figure of 231 indigenous communities attended, in vaccination against hepatitis B, BCG, pentavalent, pertussis, influenza, diphtheria, antipolio, the measles, blond, mumps and yellow fever vaccine, totally free. “We have made efforts to reach 100% vaccination this year. The goal of this day was to place 2 million 39 thousand 927 doses of these vaccines”, said the People’s Power Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado.
