Foreign Minister Arreaza: Generating suffering to overthrow a government is a criminal and inhuman act
After the death of Giovanny Figuera, a 6-year-old boy who died as a result of the illegal blockade imposed by the United States government on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza accused the US administration again on Tuesday of causing suffering in the Venezuelan population.
“I ratify, without journalistic decontextualizations: to generate suffering and pain through an economic blockade to change a government by force, is a criminal and inhumane act”, the diplomat said through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.

The death of the Venezuelan child was reported by the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Council, Larry Devoe.
“The criminal blockade imposed by the US government on Venezuela yesterday took the life of a 6-year-old boy. Giovanny required a bone marrow transplant and specialized medications that are imported by the State”, Devoe reported on Tuesday through his Twitter account, @LarryDevoe.
On repeated occasions and in various forums of international political agreement, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza has denounced the harmful effects of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Venezuela, as well as the illegal retention of more than 4 billion dollars from the Venezuelan State in the international banking.
