Venezuela and Iran join their will in favor of multilateralism

In the framework of the first celebration of the ‘International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace’, this April 24 at the headquarters of the Organization for the United Nations (UN), in New York City, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting with his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Zarif. The information was released by the Venezuelan diplomat through his Twitter account @jaarreaza, where he showed the images of what his meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister was, which took place in the UN spaces. “We met with the brother Foreign Minister of Iran @JZarif. We exchange visions and experiences to confront unilateralism and strengthen multilateralism in order to guarantee international peace and security. We thank you for the solidarity and friendship with Venezuela”, he wrote.

At the high-level meeting, both diplomats discussed important issues, highlighting the importance of strengthening multilateralism as a strategy to guarantee peace and security in the countries of the world. Also, FM Arreaza took advantage of the occasion to thank the solidarity and friendship of Iran with Venezuela.
