High Level Commission CIAN Russia-Venezuela evaluates strategic alliances
Venezuelan authorities met on Tuesday in the city of Moscow, in order to assess the progress of the binational agenda and explore new initiatives in the areas of industrial development, trade and mining.
This is the meeting of the Subcommittee on Industries, Trade and Mining held as part of the XIV High Level Intergovernmental Commission (Cian) Russia-Venezuela, held in the capital of Russia from April 1 to 5.
At the working board, held this April 2 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, participated deputy ministers and representatives of the commercial, financial, industrial, mining and science and technology, the Venezuelan Corporation of Foreign Trade (Corpovex ), Industries, Governorate of Miranda State, Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, and the Agricultural Subcommittee.
The parties showed mutual interest in the diversification of agricultural items, supplied to the markets of both countries and expressed interest in increasing the volumes of bilateral trade in this sector.
At the meeting, the representatives of both countries celebrated the purpose and constructive nature of industrial cooperation with the development of new joint initiatives and strategic alliances in iron, mining and pharmaceutical.
Regarding on the iron, they agreed to deepen strategic alliances in the automotive sector and in the iron and steel production chain; as well as in the mining area the possible participation of Russian companies in the exploitation and exploration in the Orinoco Mining Arc.
In the pharmaceutical sector, the Cian evaluates the establishment of strategic alliances with Russian companies for drug supply, technology transfer, personnel training and mutual representation.
