Foreign Minister Arreaza repudiates Sebastián Piñera’s trip to the Colombian-Venezuelan border

Through his Twitter account, @jaarreaza, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, said that the president of Colombia Iván Duque and the president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera compete to be the “best disciple” of the president of the United States, Donald Trump. The reaction of the Foreign Minister takes place after both presidents have announced that they would visit the Venezuelan border. In this regard, Minister Arreaza criticized the recent announcement made by Sebastián Piñera through his Twitter account, where he reports that he would soon travel to the Colombian-Venezuelan border with the aim of exerting pressure on the supposedly humanitarian aid the United States government intends to enter in Venezuelan territory. This visit by the Chilean President has raised critical voices, even within his own country, since Piñera would be neglecting the Chilean people who have been affected by the intense forest fires that plague that region. Likewise, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister considered that with this message from Piñera, the competition between the Colombian and Chilean president is demonstrated. “It is not an easy decision for their boss @realDonaldTrump to choose which one of them is his best disciple and subordinate, which deserves his promotion and recognition”.
