Vice President of Economy El Aissami: Our strategic alliance with Turkey will be consolidated in 2019

On behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Vice President of the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, held a working meeting on Friday afternoon with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in order to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship between both nations.

Through his Twitter account, @TareckPSUV he wrote, “we have held a working meeting at the Government Palace of the Republic of Turkey”.

He also reported that he held a meeting with the vice president of that nation, Fuat Oktay, in which “we reviewed the broad bilateral cooperation agenda. This 2019 will further consolidate our strategic alliance with Turkey”, El Aissami added.

Both meetings took place in the Government Palace of the Eurasian nation, where the Vice President of Economy also took the opportunity to thank the solidarity and love of the Turkish people and government.

It should be noted that bilateral relations between the Bolivarian Government and the Eurasian country were signed since 1999 with the arrival of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Chávez to the Presidency of the Republic, and are part of the multicentric and pluripolar policy that seeks the development of countries and peoples based on mutual respect for sovereignty and foreign non-intervention.
