Vice President of Economy Tareck El Aissami meets with Syrian delegation to strengthen friendship ties
The Vice President of the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, met Friday afternoon with the Minister of State for the Affairs of Organizations and Federations of the Syrian Arab Republic, Salwa Abdallah, and with the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Khalil Bitar , to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between both nations.
The bilateral meeting takes place at the headquarters of the Economic Vice-Presidency, in Caracas, regarding the visit to Venezuela of delegations from different nations that participated in the inauguration and oath taking of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, that was held on Thursday at the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice.
It should be noted that Minister Abdallah also held a meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, and took the opportunity to send a message of solidarity to Venezuela on behalf of the Syrian government and its people.
As should be remembered, with the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution led by Commander Hugo Chávez, the bonds of union and brotherhood between Venezuela and Syria were consolidated and with the visit of the Eternal Commander to the Syrian capital, Damascus, in 2006 started the signatures of agreements for the technological, cultural, commercial, educational and energy exchange, among others.
The Syrian Minister of State is currently serving as a member of the Damascus Command Member of the Arab Socialist Union party; after assuming responsibilities as Minister of State for Local Administration Affairs during 2016; while from 2006 to 2014, she was the President of the Scientific Commission of the Syrian Medical Association, and was a founding member of the Association of Graduates of Russian Universities and the Soviet Union.
