Plan Vuelta a la Patria adds 262 Venezuelans repatriated from Argentina

A rainy day with low temperatures that prevailed over the city of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, was not an impediment for 90 Venezuelans who emigrated to the South American nation to return to their homeland of Venezuela on Monday. Under an straight mechanism of integral attention to the nationals who manifested their desire to voluntary return, the Venezuelan Embassy in Argentina began approximately at 7:00pm the verification of the files that denoted the situation which the Venezuelans was going through in that country. Likewise, the Mission officials offered medical and legal assistance to each of the repatriated. This third flight of the airlift activated by the Venezuelan State was marked not only by the return of the Venezuelan compatriots, but by two particular moments, one of them the reunion of a Venezuelan mother with her daughter, who decided to emigrate to Argentina to begin her postgraduate studies, but the situation was adverse, because motivated to a strong depression due to family absence she suffered a relapse of health that took her to a hospital where she still remains incarcerated. The second story that marked this repatriation was that of Clelis Castillo, a 37-year-old Venezuelan mother who spent six months in the South American country with the intention of working for her two year old son – who remained in Venezuela – but in a few months after arriving in Argentina, a stomach cancer was detected in terminal phase. The adverse conditions generated by an air flight was not impediment for Castillo. Despite her delicate state of health and with the mettle and courage that characterizes the Venezuelan woman, she decided to return to her country to reconnect with her son and family. Before starting the trip that would take them back to the Homeland, Venezuelans gathered at the Venezuelan Embassy, held a pleasant meeting with Minister Counselor Juan José Valero, who gave an emotional farewell speech to the countrymen. Regardless of the situation that crosses the country, there is no greater joy than fighting and working tirelessly to build a better nation. “It is no coincidence that today, 194 years after the Battle of Ayacucho, a battle that never ended, and that today we’re still fighting against the hegemony of the countries that threaten our economy to harm the people, we managed to repatriate a new group of Venezuelans who arrived in Argentina with high expectations that were not achieved”, said Valero. After this speech, in which the Minister Counselor highlighted the cases of Venezuelan families who were in the street situation in the southern nation, several of the Venezuelans told their experience with the objective that other compatriots do not fall into the utopia of migrating to other Latitudes The young Roque Silva, an engineer in electricity, native of the Anzoátegui state, expressed his gratitude to the government institutions and his happiness for being able to return to his Homeland Venezuela, at a time that represents the union and the meeting of the families in spite of the adversities. “There is no country like Venezuela, there you can develop as an individual, you have the possibility to study and practice your profession, an issue that does not happen when you emigrate, because you are subjected to long hours of work regardless of the conditions in which you find yourself”, he said. . Meanwhile, the lawyer Alejandra González, who worked for years in a company of the Venezuelan State, at the time of migration she set as a slogan a very popular phrase among Venezuelans, “who does not risk does not win”, but the attempt was unsuccessful, because as Gonzalez herself stated, in another country professional status is not enough to enjoy the benefits obtained in Venezuela. “I have a great feeling of returning to the country. I appreciate the welcome that Argentina and its citizens gave me when I arrived, this taught me that when you are away from your family you begin to value those little details that nurture you and make you grow as a human being”, she said. With this third flight, there are already 262 Venezuelans who have been repatriated from Argentina through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria. It is expected that by the year 2019 the return of compatriots to Venezuela will continue. Photos: Francisco Morán. Plan Vuelta a la Patria suma 262 venezolanos repatriados desde Argentina
