Venezuela accompanies the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the independence of Equatorial Guinea
On behalf of the Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Africa, Yuri Pimentel, attended the commemorative civic-military parade on Friday for the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, which was held in the city of Malabo.
During the event, the venezuelan diplomat held a meeting with the president of the african country, Obiang Nguema, to whom he conveyed the message of congratulations sent by President Nicolás Maduro on the occasion of the date.
Public employees of the Equatorial Guinean Ministries of Health, Education, Labor, Hydrocarbons and Agriculture, among other organizations, paraded in the celebration of the Independence Day of Equatorial Guinea.
The declaration of independence of Equatorial Guinea, proclaimed on October 12, 1968, was part of the decolonization process in Africa.
