The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, received on Thursday the credentials of the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Eurasian country, Carlos Faría, in a ceremony that took place in the Kremlin.
During the protocolary ceremony, President Putin reiterated his support for the people of Venezuela, and ratified Moscow’s willingness to keep expanding cooperative relations with Caracas in different spheres, to contribute to the socio-economic stabilization of Venezuela.
“We are ready to offer our full cooperation in achieving this goal and, of course, we will develop bilateral political dialogue, carry out joint projects in the fields of energy, industry and others”, said the Russian president.
From August 2010 to August 2016, Ambassador Faría served as Vice-minister of Light and Intermediate Industries in the Ministry of Science and Technology and Intermediate Industries. From August 2016 to February 2017, he held the position of Sectorial Vice President of Economy and Minister of Industry and Commerce of Venezuela.
From then on, he holds the office of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Russian Federation.
“Our Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Carlos Faría, delivered today Credential Letters to President Vladimir Putin, who wished success to his friends in Venezuela in the stage of socioeconomic stabilization and ratified the deepening of cooperation between the two nations”, said the venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation maintain a strong relationship of binational cooperation, which has resulted in the signing of a series of agreements in different areas, mainly commercial, energy and mining, for the benefit of both peoples.
