President Maduro: In the face of the attacks on Venezuela, we are making our peace campaign
“The truth opens doors, before the brutal diplomatic, economic and political attacks, we are making our peace campaign for Venezuela”, said the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, after completing an important meeting with the General Secretary of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres.
In the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the multilateral organization, located in the city of New York, United States, both authorities discussed the issues that concern Venezuela, obtaining, according to declarations of the Venezuelan President, positive results.
The dignitary said that Guterres guided him on the request of an independent international commission, to investigate the attempted assassination perpetrated on August 4 on Avenida Bolivar in the city of Caracas.
“I will go on with my crusade for an international investigation,” said the Head of State, referring to a group of officials from the White House involved in the planning of a coup in Venezuela.
He also reiterated his willingness to dialogue with US President Donald Trump.
“If the opportunity to meet with Donald Trump ever comes up, I am ready, prepared and willing to take the truth of our Homeland, I am sure that if we see each other face to face, would be for good” he said.
Last Wednesday the Head of State participated in the 73rd general assembly of the United Nations Organization and exposed the truth of the venezuelan people who have been attacked by a fierce economic war in recent years, sponsored by internal and external oligarchic sectors who just inted to break the sovereignty and democracy of the country in order to appropriate the most important natural and mineral resources.
